I’m happy to announce that I am once again hosting a Halloween/Autumn themed tarot challenge on Instagram, Threads, and Substack for the month of October. This will be the 6th year! Like all previous years, I created card prompts for each of the 31 days in October and linked them to themes of Autumn and Halloween/Samhain to make it festive but also introspective for this magical time of year!
Here’s the graphic with all the prompts. These prompts are SO fun to craft each year. You can pin this graphic on Pinterest here
Tarot or oracle cards can be used for daily pulls using these prompts. I usually pull 1 tarot and 1 oracle card per prompt to use all my autumn decks! On platforms that use hashtags like Instagram, follow the challenge using #httoctobertarotchallenge2025 and feel free to tag me in your card pulls - @healingthrutarot on Instagram, Threads, and Substack.
So, if you want to join in on the challenge yourself or just follow along on my daily pulls, you can find them on Instagram, Threads, and Substack daily for all 31 days of October. It’s a free event to take part in and it’s super easy.
How you can participate:
You can pull the cards daily just for your own tarot practice. There is no pressure to post your card pulls or messages if you want to keep that private. But by all means, if you want to post what you get every day, it is fun for others to follow along and see what everyone is getting for the day. Each year I usually can see patterns in the card pulls that show that we are all picking up on similar themes and messages. Most people take a photo of their daily cards pulled and share a brief message about their interpretation of the cards.
This type of challenge is great for gathering daily insight, grounding yourself in the messages that you need to progress on your healing and/or spiritual journey, and keeping you hopeful and positive during such a chaotic time. I think it will help all of us renew our energy and reset our systems after such a tumultuous year. I hope everyone will consider participating at whatever level you feel comfortable with. Sometimes my personal messages reflect themes for the collective, so I often hear from others that my messages resonate with them too. That’s why I always choose to share my messages publicly every day in this challenge.
We will start this challenge on Oct. 1st and it goes all month long.
Plan which decks you want to use now. I have about 30 autumn/Halloween/witchy decks that I use. I alternate each day to use a different combo of them. That’s another fun aspect of this challenge is that it gives us an opportunity to use our decks more often, especially ones we have pulled out just for the autumn season.
*Note that on Substack, I will post my daily draws in the notes section that shows up in your feed NOT in the new posts section on my profile where I put all my political readings. I don’t want to clutter up my profile page because I created that page to host my political readings for easy consumption. I hope you’ll join me in the challenge and invite your friends, too, who are into divination. The more the merrier.

In 1645, at a time when England was gripped by superstition and an intense fear of the supernatural, the infamous Witchfinder General, Matthew Hopkins, roamed the countryside on a mission to root out and cleanse the country of witches. Casting a shadow over the land, these hunts scarred generations of women for centuries, leaving many afraid to acknowledge or nurture their healing powers and intuitive gifts.
Caught amidst this frenzy, three sisters, Alexa, Iris, and Hattie Wardwell, fight to keep their coven intact to keep their knowledge of the old ways alive for future generations. Despite their vows to only wield their powers for good, these sisters find themselves ensnared in the deadly web of accusations and persecution that grips their village.
As whispers of witchcraft spread like wildfire, a rival witch with a vendetta that spans lifetimes aids the Witchfinder General in hunting Alexa and her sisters down. As the flames of paranoia rage, these sisters face heart-wrenching choices while weighing the value of their lives and those they’ve sworn to protect, knowing all can’t be saved.
Set against the backdrop of one of history's darkest chapters, Here There Be Witches is a haunting reminder of the generational scars left by this unimaginable injustice and the enduring courage it took to defend one’s beliefs and rights to practice their craft in the midst of a wave of hysteria that spread throughout the nation, tragically wiping out generations of wise women and healers.
It’s a prequel of sorts but can stand alone because it chronicles one of the past witch lives of the main characters in The Divining Sisters Series. If you want to read all my novels, I would suggest reading them in the order I wrote them starting with Book 1 in The Divining Sisters Series – The Call of the Cards. I say that because I think it’s more fun and interesting to discover the past lives as the characters discover them on their awakening journey. But if you aren’t sure if you want to commit to a series, you can read Here There Be Witches on its own. I wrote it to be able to be a stand alone novel for that reason.
Where you can find Here There Be Witches

The Divining Sisters Series is a fictional divination book series (based on my own spiritual awakening) where tarot is the main feature in the storyline throughout all the books. I wrote the book series I wanted to read because I can never get enough of divination! It adds so much magic to the story of these sisters who share their love of mysticism across all their lifetimes. It’s a truly unique story, and it’s resonating with readers who are experiencing their own spiritual awakening just like the main character, Alexandra Steele (based on me obviously).
